The special edition

A special edition of the book will be reserved for the knights of the Order, the nobility and the sponsors of the project.

It will join the history book to a second volume: the facsimile of a previously unpublished manuscript of the statutes and armorial of the Order, dated 1473.

The manuscript of 1473

The manuscript once belonged to the treasury of the Order. It is now held at the Royal Library in The Hague (Koninklijke Bibliotheek), under the shelfmark 76 E 10.

It is richly illuminated, on parchment, and runs to 86 folios, or 172 pages.
